My username is gaurav.kapoor and the profile link is https://www.drupal.org/u/gauravkapoor. Due to a "." in my username, the profile link https://www.drupal.org/u/gaurav.kapoor is not working and giving a 404 error, whereas for some other users who have a "." in username the URL formed is correct and is automatically redirected to the one without dots. Eg: https://www.drupal.org/u/greg.1.anderson redirects to https://www.drupal.org/u/greg1anderson.
