When you want to remove a file by clicking the "Remove" button, it is opening a modal asking for "Add or select media". As a result, once you set files you can never remove them from your content.

I don't know what's happening, but there is something wrong happening here.

Steps to reproduce:

- Configure a file field to use the file_browser (Multivalued allowed)
- Create a content: go to "File listing" and pick one or multiple files and select them
- The interface will list them and there are buttons to remove them
- Click on Remove on one of them
- The modal to add media will appear (WHY?) Not the expected behavior

I'm seeing this issue too. The remove button sometimes removes the item, sometimes triggers the modal.

I'm unable to reproduce on 2.x branch. Not had a reply here so closing as outdated. If you are able to reproduce this issue on the 2.x branch please reopen with clear steps to reproduce the error. Thank you.
