Why do I get email for every comment on issues?

I've recently taken over as a new maintainer of Content Access.

This project had more than 350 open issues, and I have been quite busy fixing them lately (got through about 100 so far). It is possible to subscribe to email updates, and it is very likely that the unwanted email you now receive from me is from this project.

If so, you subscribed. This has nothing to do with a "distribution list" (which I don't have).

If you receive unwanted mail about this project, go to the project page: https://www.drupal.org/project/content_access - and adjust your email subscription by clicking on the email icon in the upper right corner.

I am sorry, but there is nothing I can do to about this. You subscribed to these mails (probably a long time ago), and you need to unsubscribe yourself.

You haven't been added on any distribution list, especially from gisle. Edit the settings for your project on https://www.drupal.org/user/1349980/message-follow. As your account has been set, you are getting an email for every post you follow when there is a new comment.

See also the settings in https://www.drupal.org/user/1349980/project-issue. As gisle said, you get any email for every issue on that project.

As side note, marking as spam old comments posted from gisle is not a smart move. Please stop flagging as spam what isn't spam.
