I have installed emfield and first played around with some youtube videos. Very nice, everything work fine.
Because I want to use it on a site were I use Myspace Videos, I tried myspace videos next.
But I didnt get myspace videos work.
I always get the message "You have specified an invalid media URL or embed code."
I tried for example
http://vids.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=vids.individual&videoid=433...
http://myspacetv.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=vids.individual&videoid=43381231
so it looks like myspace has different url for their video. Perhaps some arent yet supported in the embed video modul?

alkcxy commentedI got the same error in the alpha-3 version.
I tried with or without the initial http:// or using the embedded code. No lucky...

911 commentedAnybody who can provide a fix for myspace videos please?
unitec commentedI get the same error with Flickr.
HS commentedSorry have to ask..Have you enabled the modules @ admin/content/emfield?
dropchew commentedHi,
its not working even in the latest dev version, the modules are all enabled, and myspace options are chosen in cck. thanks
Comment #7
911 commentedYes, I have all enabled. Myspace is not working.
dropchew commentedHi I have notice if you add "&a mp;" (without the spacing) to the url, it will work.
eg,
Original myspace video url
vids.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=vids.individual&VideoID=44988572
and change to
vids.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=vids.individual&a mp;VideoID=44988572
hope it helps.
UPDATE*: After testing, seems to only work for some videos. Hope someone have a solution. thanks

leanazulyoro commentedYoutube videos don't work for me... I t just doesn't let me add them it sais: "You have specified an invalid media URL or embed code.". I tried pasting the URL and the embed code but always get that message
Comment #10
leanazulyoro commentedsorry, i just found out there were additional configuration options in admin/content/emfield.

alex ua commentedleanazulyoro- please do not change priorities of items you are not working on. Also- this issue has been discussed and diagnosed many times before, so please do a search through the issue queue for errors related to conflicting flash/javascript modules. I'm guessing your problem is the swfobject version you're using, but either way that belongs in another issue, not this one.
Marat commentedI just updated it to alpha6 and got the same error. I tested it using swfobject and without it but no difference.
phpgeek commentedHowever - another thing the help text quotes: "The following services are provided: " - ant no providers is mentioned? But I have clicked youtube, daily motion, google vid and several others to be active? Maybe the parsers isnt loaded
EDIT: Sorry - i forgot to add the content types in settings. Fixed now
Comment #14
aaron commentedchanged to accommodate alternate myspace URL structure.
stephenz commentedSeems you have enter a wrong URL address or you don't have the authority to access the URL of video.
Don't know if this can tutorial help but worth a try - "How to add Youtube video to MySpace blog post"
