Thanks for your work on this. I'm just wondering if there is a plan for a stable release?

It looks like the issues reported for it have all been fairly small, fixed, and committed to the dev branch.

At a minimum, it would be good to have a new beta release with those changes, but ultimately it would be great to have a stable release with security team coverage.

Yes, I agree, the module is quite stable so stable release should be created.

I released 8.x-1.0-rc1 as first Drupal 9 compatible release, and it also includes a few other small fixes which do not affect functionality and stability.

I also submitted security advisory coverage application - once it's approved, 8.x-1.0 will be released then.

Metatag Google Scholar 8.x-1.0 is out! There is just minor coding standards fix in comparison with 8.x-1.0-rc1.

7.x-1.0 was also released, but it's basically the same as 7.x-1.0-beta1. So, both branches are covered by the security advisory policy now.
