AmyJune has been an active and positive presence in the Drupal community for awhile now.

She works on various community projects and runs local and regional First Time Contribution Workshops at many camps across North America.

Currently, she has a community role which allows her to confirm new users, but she does not have the ability to flag spam, or see comments flagged as such.

She is working with the CWG as a member of the Community Health Team and one of her first tasks is creating a "nudge" system in the issue queue and in the Slack space. If you need more clarification around this, please let me know, as I'm working on this with her.

Having the ability to flag spam and read comments would help her understand more conversations and their escalation. It would also help her confirm new users as they request roles via the issue queue. In addition, I am aware that she is willing and capable of helping in other areas as the "webmaster" role allows.

Happy to answer any questions about her abilities or trustworthiness or anything else.

she does not have the ability to flag spam

For the record: I think everybody has the ability to flag spam. It is done by clicking the link "report as spam" that appear under all user created content.

However, a webmaster has the ability to unpublish spam, and to re-publish legitimate posts that our too vigilant automatic spam-filter has unpublished - and we certainly can use more hands helping out with that.

Welcome on board, volkswagenchick!
