I already have a live site running. Can I use this module to test aspects of my site that I would like to implement - such as new themes, modules etc?

If so, how do I do it without messing up the existing site? Should I create a new path or a new directory? I couldn't follow from the readme.txt on how to test live sites. Can you please help?

The purpose of this module is to create and revert snapshots of a Drupal site, primarily sites that are in development or real demonstration sites. You can add it to any site without any harm, but you should understand its snapshot functionality first. So I'd recommend you to install it on a test site first.
