translation module not working

Yesterday I installed the ln18 Module and tried to translate some sites. It was working fine but the frontpage was not translated. So I found the trick to set diefferent front pages and now this is working. So now the frontpage works correctly but the translation module itself doesn't work anymore. It seems to be that it has something to do with that frontpage trick, but after cancelling my changes the module is not working correctly (I think it was also before I have done the trick). So I've updated to the latest dev Version with no results. The module is showing the menu correctly, I can switch between english and german fine, but the nodes are not correct. If I remove all translated content and begin with a new site, set up a node for translation and test it, nothing happens, only the menu is showing up in the other language. Maybe it could be something with the blocks module, because the german version is node 7, the translation is node 10, but the link in blocks is always showing node 7 regardless of the choosen language.
