Request for 'confirmed' user role

Hello, I've recently joined and was answering a post in this thread which got put in the moderation queue.

I'd appreciate if you could let it be published, it's frustrating as someone less experienced to have to be put in the 'potential spammer' category.

Intending on asking more questions, is this going to happen every time I try and interact with someone to obtain more knowledge?

Sorry to bother you with this, it's totally understood that you guys are probably overwhelmed with such requests, but I am not sure what else I can do since I am unable to contribute code or bug reports at this time.
