Thanks for the great module!

We need this module to be ported to Backdrop for one of our customer projects and would like to ask if the current maintainers are interested in porting the module or join our efforts to do so and become co-maintainers of the Backdrop version of the Invite module.

I'm willing to port the module, but I am not the maintainer. I didn't see anything about it on the Backdrop site, so I'm guessing this hasn't gone anywhere yet, yes?

It's now ready for review by Backdrop users before it is released officially, but if you want to try it out and kick the tires, you can get it here:

There is a bug in the Entity module that is currently a roadblock to release, but it's an easy fix if you have to have it running right away. More info here:
