When the tribune is added as a block on the same node that allows uploads, (tested with default attachments and imagefield) the upload will not work.

I got around this by editing the block to have it not show on *node/add*

Yes, this has been fixed in the dev version, see bug #306334: Tribune conflicts with upload module
