This is a follow-up to #3023310: Vertical Tabs style update.

Problem/Motivation

During the development of the vertical tabs style update, we didn't follow the layout specification of the design system for various reasons (see point 7 in #3023310-96: Vertical Tabs style update.

Proposed resolution

Discuss the max-width and the breakpoints. Maybe we could improve the designs which would allow us to use a narrower breakpoint.

Drupal core is moving towards using a “main” branch. As an interim step, a new 11.x branch has been opened, as Drupal.org infrastructure cannot currently fully support a branch named main. New developments and disruptive changes should now be targeted for the 11.x branch, which currently accepts only minor-version allowed changes.
