When called from within a template_preprocess_page() function in template.php, the panels_page_get_current() function does not appear to detect the current Panels Page. This occurs in Drupal 6 when processing a page that clearly includes a Panels Page.

Hmm...because so much of the backend was rewritten in the D6 port, the structure driving this API function had to change. I didn't test it, but it did SEEM like it ought to work. So I'll make sure to have a look at it in the next alpha.

Panels 2.x for Drupal 6 is now deprecated and has been removed. All issues against this version of Panels are being closed.
