As is stated in http://drupal.org/node/307230, all the modules depending on Views2 has to update some function calls due to internal naming changes in the Views API.

As far as I noted the field widget disapeared in existing views with date filters (date_filter calls into date_api.views.inc) raises an error. The views continue working as expected, but there is no way to change settings nor to create new ones using date fields.

The fixes are already in the -dev version, this module was one of the first to be upgraded. I don't have a new release yet because I was waiting for Views to make a release, and now that it has I'm not where I can do it, but will do so when I can.

Everything will work fine if you use the -dev version.
