A long way back, the 8.x-3.x-dev branch of the Select or Other module has been opened. This branch is not in use and people keep submitting issues against it because they think it's the latest development branch. I've tried removing the branch, but a previous maintainer had created a development release for it, which makes me unable to do so. Can you please remove that development release?

I believe that removing a release requires Git admin rights. I am a webmaster, but I don't have any Git admin rights, but I believe some of the other webmasters have those rights as well, so this will has to wait until somebody else comes a long.

Sorry about not being able to help.

We don't delete releases once the archive is created. (Deleting a project release would also require a user with the administrator role.)

What can be done, eventually, is unpublishing the project release (8.x-3.x-dev). Doing so, it would not be anymore possible to select it on issues; at the same time, anyway, nobody would be able to access the release note (with the exception of users with the administrator role). This would not allow you to edit the release node. (Even though, it's probable that with a direct link like https://www.drupal.org/node/2232827/edit some users are still able to edit it.)

Is that fine with you?

That'll work. I don't expect a 8.x-3.x branch to ever be needed in the future, so just unpublishing it would be good.

In the case you need to edit that release node, just remind me of the link I gave in my previous comment (https://www.drupal.org/node/2232827/edit).

I unpublished the release node, as requested.
