Description:
Drupal 8.7 has jQuery version 3.2.1.
Drupal 8.8 has been updated to jQuery version 3.4.1
The release notes for both 3.3 and 3.4 state:
There should be no compatibility issues if upgrading from jQuery 3.0+.
This will also completely mitigate the CVE issue: https://cve.mitre.org/cgi-bin/cvename.cgi?name=CVE-2019-11358 which was present for all versions prior to 3.4.0. (Issue was patched by the security team: https://www.drupal.org/sa-core-2019-006)
