Imagefield slideshow Images are not showing up most of the time

I have an image field in a content type, and I've chosen to display it as an Imagefield slideshow, sometimes the images appear, and most of the times they don't appear (i need to keep refreshing so they appear), I've looked into the problem and it has something to do with jQuery.

If i remove - core/jquery from dependencies and add import another jquery file, it works , but other things like colorbox/quicktab stops working.
and if i remove the jquery file that I've added and keep - core/jquery in dependencies; Imagefield slideshow problem occurs again (images won't show up), but everything else works.

so whats the best solution here?
