Many users in Drupal slack refer to all people as "guys", which is uncomfortable for many members of the Drupal community.
Discussing the issue often leads to involved and unproductive discussions.
We would like to find a way to automate or simplify the process of reminding folks that there are better way to address a group of Drupalists.
* Identify a way forward (possibly as a factoid) -- !guys could pull up a uniform prompt
* Write the needed text
* Implement with help from slack admins

yesct commentedI was one of the people who suggested !guys,
but after thinking on it, I'm concerned it might be read as NOT guys.
And given how sensitive people are,
maybe something else like ?guys
But I'm ok with either.

aburke626From today's leadership meeting:
We discussed a blog post about this and agreed it is a good idea, but to perhaps wait a month or two so as not to have a troll uprising or moderation kerfuffle. We can absolutely work on writing it/compiling resources in the meantime!
