I decided to rebuild my site from AT 8.1x to 8.3x to prepare it for the coming Drupal changes. I notice that in v3 the left and right sidebars are not to the left and right of the main region by default like in V1, they were below the main region. I seemed to have solved this by changing the main settings to 'three source order 273'. The sidebar shows up to the right of the main like it should on the page and in the block demonstration page. I also changed the sub-features to 3333 and they moved side-to-side like should be.
Here is the odd thing I have to figure out before I can publish the new site. The site works perfectly on the iPad and on my Windows demo machines in the various browsers. However, when I look at it on the iMac, none of the layout overrides work. The sidebars are below the main and the sub-features are lined up vertically instead of horizontally like they should with the 3333.
This is an odd one and I would hate to change to another theme because it can't be figured out.

jlsegul commentedI have contacted a few other people with Macs. On some the sidebar formatting works great (on the left and right side of content) and on others it doesn't. I checked on different versions of macOS and it made on difference. I did find that when trying Chrome, the formatting always works. There just seems to just be a problem with Safari and Firefox for Mac on certain machines and the way they are rendering the new layout code of version 8.3x.

jlsegul commentedWhat I believe is happening is that some browsers are not reading the flexbox css properly to align the blocks properly and there is no fallback if that happens.
