It would be quite useful if the content of the Securing file permissions and ownership page in the Community Documentation could get included in the User Guide for Drupal 8, under Chapter 13. Security and Maintenance.

Both for tarball-version, but also more importantly documentation which matches the new structure in the official Drupal 8 Composer version. Is it a question of just copying the text, and adding a chapter about securing a Composer-based structure?

Thanks for the issue!

The information on that page seems pretty useful, but it is probably a lot more detail than we would want to put directly in the User Guide. I'm also wondering if it would be best as an added step to the topics we have about downloading Drupal, rather than a separate topic?

And I'm also wondering if we need any additional information from that Securing your Site section on d.o:

Also just created: #3047315: document settings.php and sites/default file permissions in 3.7. Running the Interactive Installer. I have currently marked it as Related but we may want to combine the two issues?
