Hello,

When using CKEditor inside an entity browser, and when editing an already existing link, there is a focus problem in the textfields. The select lists and checkboxes works ok, but not the textfield.

Seeing the module code, it seems that the Drupal / CKEditor integration is not used in a JS file and only the CKEditor JS plugin is added so it does not work.

I don't know if a rewrite will be necessary.

Thanks for any help.

I am also experiencing this issue. I created a Comment field in the Image Entity. The comment field allows HTML Editor (CKEditor) I added the generic link plugin, which should work cause its not another Drupal dialog. However when clicking fields, there is no way to make them active. Tabbing only tabs through the fields in the 1st level popup window.

Same issue here with latest stable version. Modal is shown but it's not possible to click on the name field

ran into this issue today with a link button on a ckeditor text field in a media entity edited from a node in entity browser. Its related to this issue - https://www.drupal.org/project/drupal/issues/3065095. The fix provided in 17 is temporary as it relies on jqueryui.dialog which is deprecated. Posting fix here to hopefully get this moving along when an alternative to jqueryui is found (track https://www.drupal.org/project/drupal/issues/2158943).

in a [module].libraries.yml file

modal:
  js:
    js/modal.js: {}
  dependencies:
    - core/jquery.ui.dialog

in [module].module file

function [module]_form_alter(&$form, FormStateInterface $form_state, $form_id) {
  $form['#attached']['library'][] = '[module]/modal';
}

in [module]/js/modal.js

(function ($, Drupal) {
  orig_allowInteraction = $.ui.dialog.prototype._allowInteraction;
  $.ui.dialog.prototype._allowInteraction = function(event) {
     if ($(event.target).closest('.cke_dialog').length) {
        return true;
     }
     return orig_allowInteraction.apply(this, arguments);
  };
})(jQuery, Drupal);
