The Entity API provides a few specialized interfaces which can be implemented by an entity class in order to provide additional functionality over the generic methods defined by \Drupal\Core\Entity\EntityInterface. Starting with Drupal 8.7.0, these specialized interfaces have been updated to extend the main EntityInterface:

  • \Drupal\Core\Entity\EntityChangedInterface
  • \Drupal\Core\Entity\EntityDescriptionInterface
  • \Drupal\Core\Entity\EntityPublishedInterface
  • \Drupal\Core\Entity\RevisionableInterface
  • \Drupal\Core\Entity\SynchronizableInterface
  • \Drupal\Core\Entity\TranslatableInterface

The following specialized entity storage interfaces have been updated to extend the main \Drupal\Core\Entity\EntityStorageInterface as well:

  • \Drupal\Core\Entity\RevisionableStorageInterface
  • \Drupal\Core\Entity\TranslatableStorageInterface
