I didn't find how to make visible the add attachment button on a comment on my open social installation. I've enabled the social upload comment module and check the corresponding box on the configuration page, clear cache (twice) and nothing.
I've missing something?

Hi there,

Just enabling the module should do the trick, although a cache-clear is always a good idea.

Which comment type are you trying this on? It should only be enabled on the comment type for nodes which is default in Open Social.

Could you verify:

  • If the field field_comment_files is available here: /admin/structure/comment/manage/comment/fields
  • If the files field is enabled in the form settings here: /admin/structure/comment/manage/comment/form-display

If this is set correctly you should be able to post attachments on comments on topics and events.

I did encounter the same issue now. Last time I tested it on 3.x and there it's still working. On 4.x I can reproduce now!

This only happens when the social_profile_organization_tag module is enabled as well as far as I know. I've fixed it. Ready for review here:

After updating to version 6.2 upload comments in topics and events are missing again.

I've attached two screens, one of the settings and one of a topic that do have uploaded comments but after updating to 6.2 can't upload attachments anymore.
