Good catch! We've implemented it for our enterprise, but we've yet to open-source the module and publish it on drupal.org. We hope we have time for that in January or latest February. It will be a separate (optional) module in that case. Will keep you posted.

We just published a dev version here:
https://www.drupal.org/project/social_course

I think we still would like to mark it as beta and make proper release including developer documentation. But for now I hope having the dev version helps! (We are using it successfully already in a few projects)

It is not possible to install the course_module, because the module social_paragraphs is not published yet.

Sorry, don't know why I missed that.

I've just repackaged the module and added the necessary paragraphs. FYI, the names of those paragraphs might change slightly in the future, but for now the feature should work. If you have more issues please open an issue in the issue queue of the social_course module.
