please see screenshot. fresh drupal install. no errors. all good. followed all instructions (as few as there were) and this is my current state. My questions are why is original order type Default? shouldn't it be Recurring as it was a subscription product? and what is the the second item with type Recurring? why is the default State cancelled? yes, i am confused. please help me understand this and i will contribute toward some of the documentation, thanks.

Start by reading the existing docs: https://docs.drupalcommerce.org/commerce2/developer-guide/recurring

Recurring is used for the order that is automatically created by the module. The initial order is of any type.
