Hi,

My name is David. I am looking to become a confirmed user, to register a "organization", to upload a module I have developed that is still in the development stage.

I would like to create my project without having to list a "supporting organization", but I cannot, so this is why I am putting in this issue.

Is there any 'generic' organization I can list in that row so I can skip this step entirely?

I am new to the Drupal community, so I have not commented on any posts or anything. Is this an issue?

tl;dr:

1: Need to register organization so I can create a project.
2: or, need a generic organization I can list under my project so I can create a project.
This would be easier if I didn't have to list a supporting organization at all.

Thanks,
David.

Having the confirmed role doesn't change which fields are required when creating a project. I have the confirmed role, and still the Supporting organization field is marked as required in the projects I create.

Yes, but I need the confirmed role to be able to register a Supporting Organization, as the organization I am working for is not currently in the list.

The problem is then that you are trying to create the organization node, and you aren't allowed. Keep in mind that, despite the Supporting organization field being marked as required, it's not necessary to enter any value.

I confirmed the account.
