I experienced this bug after updating from 8.5.6 to 8.6.0 and later to 8.6.1
Breadcrumbs do not show link for current node if it's a parent page. When it's a child page breadcrumb shows links for parent pages.
Sometimes breadcrumb shows the word "Node" with a link instead of the current node title.
I disabled the core Frontpage view and I do have a custom Frontpage view in place.
I tested on a fresh install on simplytest.me with the devel module enabled and the breadcrumb menu only shows the "Home" link no more and regardless of the type or level of node I am on. That's even worse than the above mentioned issue in my case on local site.

cestmoi commentedUpdate: I applied the patch #33 mentioned here and it didn't make any difference. So I reversed the patch.

berdirPlease provide some more details on what your path structure is, what the breadcrumb output is in 8.6 vs 8.5 and what you' expect.
The default breadcrumb builder does not show the title of the current path/node there, never has, so maybe you are using some additional modules/preprocessing?

huzookaI assume that this issue is a dup of #2875276: Breadcrumbs disappears when starting with front-page after cache rebuild (for anonymous user). which is fixed. Could you please test the patch of that issue?

ion.macaria commentedHi @huzooka, I think @cestmoi just want a feature provided by Current Page Crumb. Also I think if this feature will be made in core, better will be to put a checkbox on breadcrumb block.
Thank you!

quietone commentedMore information was asked for 3 years ag and has not yet been provided. And it looks like this has been fixed, see #6.
Therefore, closing as a duplicate of #2875276: Breadcrumbs disappears when starting with front-page after cache rebuild (for anonymous user). which was fixed in 8.6. If that is wrong, reopen the issue, by setting the status to 'Active', and add a comment explaining what still needs to be done.
Thanks!
