I have a node form that I reference users, the entityconnect button shows up, but when I create a user, all the profile2 fields end up empty. But when I create the user directly without using entityconnect the fields end up filled like they should be.

D7 reached its EOL back in January 2025, and there is no active release for D7 for this module anymore.
Development or support is not planned for D7. All D7-related issues are marked as outdated in a bunch.
