The translation of content displayed in the calendar does not appear to work.

  1. I created a fresh Drupal 8.5.6 instance.
  2. Enabled the fullcalendar_view module and the Content translation module.
  3. Added a second language (FR) to the site.
  4. Create a new content type (Event) and enable translation on it
  5. Create an Event node in english title: TODAY
  6. Translate the node to FR, title: AUJOURDHUI
  7. Create a new view, with a page and set view mode to Full Calendar Display and configure field settings to get nodes to display in the calendar

Now when I visit the view page, I get the event listed twice, however both of them are in English. If I change to French both are still in English. If I set the view Render Language to "Interface text language selected for page", both events still show up in English on both the English and French version of the site.

If I change the view display to and HTML list, the content is correctly translated, I get both events, both in English on the English site, and both in French on the French site. If I change the Render language back to "Content language of view row", the content displays in English and in French on the site, as expected.

There definitely seems to be an issue with the translation here unless I'm doing something wrong.

As per issue: 2948634, it doesn't appear to support multilingual content.

Any ideas?

I have the same issue. The view settings aren't being used, so it always only shows the default language. I'm able to accomplish the correct result list using "HTML list", but not "Full Calendar Display".

Using the patch from 2987930, I was able to get the site to swap between Japanese and English based on Drupal's current language selection (just on the calendar wrapper like days of the week, month/week/day, etc). But the Full Calendar Display view only shows nodes in the default language, not the currently selected language.

Alas, patch #3 no longer applies. I've created the following patch against 8.x-2.2 that does seem to work, and also doesn't crash when there is not a translation available for some of the items.

I have experienced the same problem, Rendering Language option do not apply.

It works though when using view filters :
Content: Translation language (= Interface text language selected for page)

EDIT : sorry for my mistake. It does not work when using filters , it shows the default version

the patch #5 does fix the content title and link for the current language displayed .
it does not fix the "Description for event tooltip" that remains displayed in the default language.
I haven't checked yet whether date formats can be displayed differentely depending on the language

I have complemented the patch#3 against 8.x-2.2 , getting the date and description fields from the current version , as well as the title and link.
