I posted this patch here https://www.drupal.org/project/search_api/issues/2638740, but the issue was already closed. In hindsight, I'm thinking I should have opened a new ticket so I could set the status to 'Needs Review.' Sorry for the duplication!
This issue is the port to D8 for
When you change field settings for an index, you get a message saying it needs re-indexing.
It would be handy to have a link in this message that takes you to the right page to do that.
It probably needs to be re-rolled since it's old, so I'll update it as soon as possible.

drunken monkeyAh, yes, they changed it so only maintainers can switch issues back from “Closed” states. In such cases it's probably really better to create a new issue. Or, if you already posted (or the original issue has many followers which you still want to reach), you can also ping me via contact form or on Slack to re-open. (Generally, don't ping me regarding issues, especially via contact form, but that's an exception.)
Anyways, thanks a lot for spotting that we missed to port this patch back in the day, and already providing the ported patch!
