Imce does not embed image but creates a link to the image [#2984265]

I just was able to implement imce into default ckeditor in d8....
First, the icon is weird it is just a blank square

Then I tried to insert an image into ckeditor from uploaded images on the server and only the link was created....but the actual image was missing.....so when the user clicks on this link in the article, the image opens up....
I checked the code and instead the url of the images was embedded in ahref instead or img src code

can somebody please answer, IMce does not work

It creates a secondary icon called insert file links ......
if you click on normal image icon, where IMCE should be implemented, it is missing from there

First off, things doesn't seem proper for your installation. We'll need more info to diagnose. Try a fresh install(drupal and imce) and compare with your non-working version.
