That's why community is helpful. ;-)

It is supported since 8.0 and 7.40 Change Record: Project namespaces can now be added for module dependencies, and is now a Best Practice Define project dependencies in core module .info files).

@chipway, Thanks for putting an effort to make this patch works, It is working fineas per the standards you mentioned via attached links. I verify it with the use of pareview & attached the screenshot for the same.
