The error message I get says "Parent field is required."
When I disable HS, I can do the operation no problem.

I also receive this error message when I click on "submit". See attached screen picture.

wim leersThanks tkamen (and georgefurnell), I know where to look now. Making the parent selection optional will fix the problem.

georgefurnell commentedWim,
In the mean time, is there something that I can do to be able to add a forum container to my site?

mkrakowiak commentedIf you enjoy using Hierarchical Select, but you need to add a forum container and keep getting the error message, you can simply disable the HS module, add the container and then re-enable HS.
