Says connection successful before attempting to connect

I've been trying to connect to a server that is actually behind an internal network, so no connection to it is possible.

In the servers list it shows server reachable as "Connection successful, bind failed."

The problem is the module is misinterpreting the output of ldap_connect inside ldap_servers/src/Entity/Server.php -> connect(). From the php manual:

It's a syntactic check of the provided parameters but the server(s) will not be contacted!
