Your response will help shape the future of the Drupal business ecosystem.I've set up the type specific boost for a particular content type with a boost of 21. I've set all other types of boosts that I could find to 1. So this should mean that the CT with boost 21 should always be ranked above the other CT's. But it doesn't seem to do that. When I look inside the code in the Database backend then I also don't seem to see code that uses the boost in the Item class. Did I configure something wrong or is this functionality not implemented for DB search?

drunken monkeyOh, you're right! Thanks a lot for reporting! Seems we completely forgot support for this in the DB backend when adding this new boost type (we didn't support this in D7).
The attached patch should fix this, please test! And thanks again for reporting this!
