This is happening on Drupal 8.4.2.

When installing the module through the GUI, I get a WSOD with no error message and the installation fails.

When installing the module through Drush, the installation fails and I get the following error message:

This my attempt at fixing this issue. There are other issues with the views_rss module which this module depends on. We should open tickets for that module as well.
