Will the modules like Gallery (G2) that is made for a drupal 5.x installation work on a drupal 6 installation? the reasoning being that a lot of the modules that i was using in drupal 5 installation are not yet running or are not running well for drual 6 installation, they're still in development and the reason i switched to drupal 6 installation is cause my client wanted to use a theme that ran on drupal 6 so i cant use drupal 5 but i need the modules working.

profix898 commentedThe 6.x-1.x branch is compatible with Drupal 6.x and the RC+ of Gallery 2.3. The module is feature-complete and pretty stable, but there are still some issues in certain areas (e.g. i18n support). Depending on your requirements it should be OK to build your site on gallery module for D6.

fishclic commentedOn the main page of the G2 project, it's written :
"Please note that the D6 module requires the G2.3/svn version of Gallery2."
So, is the lastest version compatible with Gallery 2.3 RC or Gallery 2.2.5 svn ?
I am planning to upgrade my site from drupal 5.7 to drupal 6. I want to use Gallery 2 with tinymce (in which i had the G2 plugin button) and lightbox (to display the images).
Is is enough stable to use it on a production site ?
Thanks :)

lvthunder commentedYes the 2.3 RC will work fine. I don't use tinymce with my sites, but I doubt there would be a problem and I only use lightbox as part of my G2 theme not in Drupal itself. So you'd have to test that one too. For me it is stable enough to use on a production site.
