I don't understand how we can translate invite types.
Maybe it is related to the fact that the UI look different than normal;

I hope to help solve the issue, but would be great to get feedback if a patch is welcome or if it can be solved in current module.

The Multilingual guide at https://www.drupal.org/docs/multilingual-guide describes how translation work.

The language inside the Invite module is covered by the Translating site interfaces (https://www.drupal.org/docs/multilingual-guide/translating-site-interfaces) section. It appears that a lot of the interface has been translated in many languages: https://localize.drupal.org/translate/projects/invite

There's a description of how to update the language of the invite email here: https://www.drupal.org/project/invite/issues/2898225#comment-12192232 (This should be on a documenation page somewhere, but currently isn't anywhere that I looked)

If this doesn't answer your question, please re-open the issue with information about what I missed. And if you find a string that isn't translatable, please file a bug report with the details.
