HS module update #7 is calling update_sql to update a serialized field.
You can't do this because this runs through the table prefixer, which breaks serialized arrays... I.e. the { and }.
I couldn't see this reported elsewhere.

wim leersInteresting, I didn't think of that. Will be fixed soon.
pingers commentedI guess this a valid enough reason to avoid using serialized variables... if you ever need to use them in this manner.
But that's a can of worms I'm not daring to open :)
wim leersIt's not enough reason in this case. It'd become a table with *way* too many columns otherwise. And it's often only a couple of HS configs per site, so it'd be overkill.
wim leersThe sole reason is this one:
update_sql()sucks.Weird that it didn't give any problems for me and many others though.
Fixed.

pingers commentedFYI - this is still causing me problems - but should never be an issue again after tonight (updating live db - eek!).
Thanks anyway!
