We would like the Drupal Portugal independent community channel #drupal-pt to be returned to our community.

Please set the founder of the channel to the user Druplbot with the fastest priority.

It is expected that the Drupal IRC admins will enforce consistent rules across all of the drupal-* channels so that the community knows what to expect from these channels. drupalircowner is added to channels in that namespace in order to accomplish that.

This is the channel of an independent community. You can not enforce anything, unless we accept.

We are unaccepting.
We will change the chat platforms, notices and documentation accordingly on our site and consult further with our local community.

i've read the proposed resolution by hestenet on the other issue, so im setting this to postponed, while i review better and discuss with the community.

i can't comment further at this moment.

The proposed solution does not work for us.

We need the channel to be bridge-plumbed in Matrix and be controlled by the community, not the reverse.

We have setup another channel and reserved additional namespaces.

But we would like this channel #drupal-pt to be returned to us.

@lpalgarvio - if that's the preference of the community we can look into setting up a channel forward to a channel fully in the community's control. The IRC admins, including @mlhess, @ricardoamaro, @nnewton, and myself are going to be meeting after DrupalCon Vienna. (Around Oct 12). Would you be willing to wait on this issue for a bit until we've that group has had a chance to talk through these issues?

We can meet at the DrupalCon Vienna as well. I will be in Vienna from tomorrow 23/Sep till sunday 01/Sep.
