A few changes have been made to the CSS in 7.x (mainly removing filter: for gradients, which doesn't validate). These should be reflected in 8.x so that the behavior is the same.

Don't open issues without submit a patch on it.

Better open an issue with many changes and attend them there.

Here's the patch, it's css only and it's been tested quite a lot with 7.x.
