A number of changes have been made to the Javascript in 7.x. These should be reflected in 8.x so that the bugs are fixed also there.

Essentially, after all features have been ported from 7.x to 8.x we should be able to copy the Javascript over to 8.x and that should take care of all the bugs.

Here is a combined patch that brings over all the code from the Drupal 7 version.

It also fixes the issue reported in #2950283: Error .
