As discovered in #2880654: Instagram loading can't be manually triggered embedding an instagram in ckeditor doesn't work. Seems like the instagram javascript doesn't provide loading of instagrams inside of iframes.

1.x is unsupported and embedding works through media_library in 3.x. So, closing.
