I've produced a patch that uses the token strings so for instance you can make a label the id of an entity, and the value with be alter_text ({{ field_one }} {{ field_two }}) passed through tokenizeValue.

Thanks for committing.

I'm using it with redhen contacts. The contact entity has first name, middle name, last name. So for the label I included the contact ID (Global text wouldn't work). Then I set the alter text with tokens for first_name, middle name, last name. (I had to include those but exclude from display) Without the patch the label would be the contact ID, this makes the tokenized value appear. The data value can be anything like related entity IDs through connections to the contact aggregated with count distinct.

I made a most connected contacts bar chart showing contact names with how many organizations they are connected to.
