Are there plans to improve Webform Localization support in this module?

Current Functionality

Creating a new webform, with a 3 column Matrix Component results in the Label of the Matrix Component being available in the Translation Interface.
Seemingly correctly nested in the "Webform Localization" text group" and properly created with a unique identifier.

However:
While Column Names are available in the Built-in Interface, and appear translated when filling in the Form, they:
1) Exist in the Built-In Interface group and are not uniquely identified.
2) Appear correctly translated when completing the form
3) The Translated strings DO NOT appear in the Preview step of the form. (See preview.png)

Jumped the Gun...
Looks like my preview issue is resolved with this "webform" patch.

It's odd.
The translated fields exist when the page is evaluated with "developer"... but do not render on the page.

String insertion into "Built-in Interface" instead of "Webform Components" seems to be something that could be addressed.

I worked on this issue and I created a patch with a full implementation to Webform Localization.

To have the matrix component translatable you should apply this patch and then :

  1. Install Webform Localization if you have not
  2. Go to the "Form Settings" tab of your webform and check the option "Expose webform component strings suitable for translation"
  3. Go to admin/config/regional/translate/i18n_string and refresh "Webform Localization" strings
  4. Go to admin/config/regional/translate/translate and filter by "Webform Localization"
  5. Translate label / options (for options, beware to include "\r\n" between each option in the translation)
  6. Clear all cache
