Package States

Package States refer to the state of a given package for a given user. The state consists of the enabled or disabled status of the package, if the user has access, and the settings (if any). States are controlled by the PackageState class and they are stored in the packages database table.
Accessing and using the States is important when determining if your Package functionality should be available to the user. To access that data, user the Packages service.
