For the moment only is posible to create, edit and delete the module configuration. I think that this is the first step, will be great if somebody can review the code and made some sugestions to continue with the work.

adriancid@mmjvb I talked with the maintainer and he told me about create a github project first and once the module is full ported then he will migrate it to drupal.org

Considering your interest and activity suggest to start the procedure to transfer ownership.
To be honest don't trust the information you received from the maintainer. Looks like you are wasting your time!
