This is a meta issue for porting this module to D8. Separate tasks should have their own issues and should designate this one as the "parent" issue.
The primary task here is to assemble a list of things that need to be done in order to get a working release of this module for D8. The secondary task is to identify people to work on these things.
Original post:
Is there module as upgrade to Drupal 8 ? Did you have a roadmap for this ?
The actual branch dev doesn't working on my site, there are many bugs, and many parts of code are not upgrade to Drupal 8.
Anybody here have a github branch working on it ?

RumyanaRuseva commentedAs noted in #2972260: Drupal 8 Fivestar Status, there is an alternative module in D8: Votingapi Widgets.
Unfortunately it doesn't work well either.
We should probably focus development effort on the Votingapi Widgets module, as it combines fivestar, voteupdown, etc.

tr commentedI would like to make a new alpha release soon. Specifically to push out the changes to hook_fivestar_widgets() to enable integration with other modules. There have been more than 50 commits to this project since the last alpha in January - some of them quite significant. I would like to get these pushed out as a non-dev release so that people will start to use and test this new code (nobody uses the current -dev).
I know there are a bunch of issues in the queue that are close to being finished and would be nice to have in the new alpha, but I've been putting off the new alpha for almost a month for that reason and I don't see that situation changing in the near future - we're always going to have a bunch of things close to being finished. I think there is great value in getting all the new code into the hands of users, and that should help to make the module even better.
