Allow option to set an alternate domain when indexing records

As an administrator of a site in which content editors use a separate edit domain to create and edit content from that on which the public accesses content, I want to set an alternative indexing domain at which content will be indexed so that search results return my public domain rather then the internal edit domain.

Desired path :
https://www.mysite.com/mycontent
