I have created a multiple type index so I can index users and nodes. User type has a term reference (taxonomy) field. I have gone to index its hierarchy (in filters) but there are no user options, only options for nodes.

I noticed the same thing with bundle filter. I could only filter by different types of nodes, no options for users show.

If I create a user only index, all options are available.

See #1323686: Add support for related properties in the „Index hierarchy“ data alteration. Unfortunately, for "Multiple types" indexes, all entity fields are "related fields".

Spoke too soon, sorry – your request does make sense for the "Role filter" data alteration.
Please test/review the attached patch for that!

Thanks for the patch Thomas, really appreciated.

Tested it and Role Filter is now an option - brilliant.
